EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has formed a partnership with the Energy Saving Trust to brief senior executives at its member companies on how to reduce fuel and transport costs and manage their company car fleets more efficiently.
The Energy Saving Trust is a not for profit organisation that was set up to help reduce UK carbon emissions and is part funded by the Department for Transport .
The transport advice programme offers companies practical solutions to help reduce costs and improve the environmental performance of their car and van fleets. It provides telephone advice, online information, monthly fleet briefings via email and, for companies with more than 50 vehicles, a free Green Fleet Review looking at all aspects of the fleet from an environmental perspective to help lower running costs, reduce environmental impact and enhance corporate social responsibility.
The partnership between EEF and the Energy Saving Trust complements EEF’s services to companies wishing to seize the environmental initiative and put the right strategy in place for a sustainable future.
